v0.40 let an LLM file bugs and propose fixes for Smarter’s code. v0.41 turns to the people who run a Smarter platform, and to the questions their users ask them. “My login isn’t working.” “Why is Smarter slow right now?”…
smarter-sh/automation is a new repository that holds The Smarter Project’s scheduled GitHub Actions workflows. It has no application code. Each workflow checks out another smarter-sh repository, tests it, checks it or tidies it, and posts one message to the project’s…
The Smarter Project now publishes an official Cookiecutter template for Smarter Extensions, smarter-extension-cookiecutter. One command asks you a few questions and generates a complete extension repository, with a working tool, its tests, and the same lint, test and release setup…
Updated November 2 for v0.40.5. v0.37 taught the Smarter Project MCP server to read. It answers questions about the code, the documentation, the blog and every manifest schema. v0.40 lets it act. An LLM that finds a bug while it…

Every Smarter resource is declared in a manifest with a kind, such as LLMClient, SqlPlugin, Secret, Guardrail, and so on. Until today, the list of kinds lived in two places. The platform defined it, the smarter-api Python SDK kept its…
Smarter has always cached the expensive parts of an AI platform (database reads on every request, calls to slow and billable third-party APIs) with one decorator, @cache_results(). Until today, the only way to use it was to run Smarter. As…
